Golf games have always been a magnet for me. Let me start by saying, I am dogshit at real golf. I enjoy being outside, I enjoy quality time with friends and family, but I shoot a 105 (Par is 72) on a good day. Maybe it's because I'm not good that I'm driven to play games like PGA Tour on the PC in maybe 2003 or Mario Golf, another game which is getting a review from this series. One that I missed every time, possibly due to already having Mario Golf, was Cyber Tiger.

CyberTiger uses the joystick for swinging back and then pushing if forward to execute the shot. This feels a bit more challenging and like it presents a more challenging game overall. It does still have powerups and utilizes the arcade style really well. As I described to my wife, this is not a WHAPPY BATS game where you can hit it as hard as you want and touching the cup means the ball automatically goes in the hole. This is, in my opinion, a stellar mix of the realism (that can be too slow sometimes) and the arcarde aspects (almost Golden Tee Golf style). I meant to play only about an hour of this and blinked and I was playing the challenge mode, tournament mode, and facing off against the computer. As much as I love Mario Golf (review coming soon), if I was playing by myself I will absolutely be reaching for this game to complete the challenge mode! Overall, the graphics are serviceable, the sound isn't too bad, and it still reads really well on a CRT TV. I liked this one way more than I thought I would!
